On Tuesday, December 6 Iceland’s Reyka Vodka wants to buy you a drink at The Bedford. The small batch vodka was recently recognized as the best tasting at the International Wine and Spirits Competition by people who actually make a living by drinking alcohol. “Those are just drunks who Reyka Vodka paid to vote for them,” you say? Nay,  with an international panel of more than 100 judges that represent some of the most influential names in the business, the IWSC is arguably the most prestigious competition of its kind in the world. Translation: This best be some good stuff. To celebrate, Reyka Vodka is inviting you to savor their good libation and sample their culture at the same time.

Icelandic rock band Jeff Who? will be delivering a live performance at The Bedford while you enjoy vodka cocktails on the Iceland brand’s dime. If that’s not enough to get you out of your Pajama Jeans and out the door, there will also be door prizes, including the chance to land a paid trip to Iceland. (How do you say, “Pick Me!” in Icelandic?)

The official gig is at The Bedford from 10:00 p.m. to midnight. There is also a related pre-event gathering at Anthem just about a block away from 7:00 to 9:00 so you can start at one and hop over to the other. And in case you imbibe too much of those complimentary drinks when you’re lounging in The Bedford vault, there is a Wendy’s right across the street to rescue you from a Wednesday morning hangover. (Yesssss – chicken nuggets!!! I could bathe in that BBQ sauce. Just sayin’.)
