In the midst of thousands of electronic music producers who seem to be on every proverbial street corner, there is one to watch out for in 2013. Dillon Francis’s rise to fame has happened almost overnight as he methodically puts out his new infectious music. Whether its a remix or an EP, the man is bound for another big year. Francis is embarking on his “WURLD TURR” and will be playing a sold-out show at Congress Theater on March 8, 2013. Also on the bill will be Chicago’s hometown heroes, Flosstradamus, the mash-up monsters who have morphed into Trap legends.

Considered one of the pioneers of Moombahton (a blend of house music and reggaeton), Dillon Francis first picked up speed with his single, “Masta Blasta” and his collaboration with Diplo on the track – “Que, Que.” Since then, he’s put out music on Dim Mak and Mad Decent’s record label – and will be making his first Coachella appearance this April. Check out his latest mix on “Diplo & Friends”, a regular program on BBC Radio1. At the very least, you should follow his Twitter page that 140,000 others are following. The dude is entertaining. If you’re one of the lucky ones attending the sold-out show, you’ll know that better than anyone.

Show Details:

Friday, March 8th, 2013 / Congress Theater – 2135 N. Milwaukee Ave./ Doors and show at 8:00 p.m. / Event ends at 1:30 a.m.
