Is a Sunday Funday worth $8? Um, yeah. Especially if you spend it at that sweet little place called The Hideout in the company of Bully In the Hallway. The punk-influenced Chicago rock band will be playing along with Seattle band My Goodness and ManBirdBelly on August 14th.
The Bully in the Hallway boys played this same venue in July and owned the joint. Lead singer John Matthew Simon rocks erratic dance moves between lyrics like no one is watching. Think of Tom Cruise feeling the music with his whole body in “Risky Business”, but with controlled aggression and pants on. The guys will play songs from their album “Apples and Sunshine” and a crowd favorite is sure to be “Chicago”, the impassioned anthem to our kick ass city. You can also expect the band to play songs from their new EP, “Advice”. My advice? Unlike middle school days, this is a Bully in the Hallway you don’t want to run away from.
The Hideout is located at 1345 W. Wabansia. Doors at 8. Entry is $8 and it’s 21+
