Lion Head Pub (4-7p) at 2251 N Lincoln, hands down, has the best weekly free food. They lay out four types of wings: Buffalo, Vesuvio, Teryaki, and BBQ. The Buffalo sauce is super tangy and awesome. The Vesivio is crisp and delicious. The BBQ and Teryaki are somewhat on the cloying side, so you’ll always find my plate stacked high with buffalo.
They also recently upped the ante on the buffet. There are side dishes which vary from week to week such as Enchilada Casserole, Mac and Cheese, Sloppy Joes and whatever else the kitchen may come up with that day.
The buffet is regularly stocked, so you never have to wait long for fresh wings.
And with $2 domestic bottles, it’s hard to find a nicer deal. That’s why you’ll usually find me on the scene every Wednesday and some Fridays too.

bery bery good, waitresses are nice too, sports on tv, decent music, I am addicted to Lion’s Head Pub on Wednesdays and Friday’s. The extras are usually slaw, and salad, sometimes pasta salad. Haven’t seen sloppy joes or enchaladas or mac and cheese the times I have been there.
Of course the wings are good and they are free. Now if they weren’t good why would I chomp down on 16 of em!!
Wings are good and drinks are cheap, and also good. Its a sweet deal for cheap Wednesday night eats.
yes, they’re fucking amazing… but not as good as the wings at Wild Goose (4200 N Lincoln)
Pretty amazing–especially for free. They had a whole spread–including some awesome sausage pasta.
There’s are not free because they’re cheap. they’re just wings. and they are damn good. had a goose island winter ale (or whatever it was called–it was delicious, so i didn’t pay much attention to the name) to wash it down. then i ordered another.
then we went to the brew and view and saw fantastic mr. fox. all in all, a wonderful evening
